'Infinite Alchemy' - Solo Exhibition of Sanjay Dhawan
Sanjay Dhawan - 'Infinite Alchemy' - Invitation
30th of April, 2020 – The Art Cocoon gallery invites you to ‘Infinite Alchemy’, a solo art exhibition by contemporary abstract artist, Sanjay Dhawan.
Sanjay Dhawan (b.1964, India) is an international exhibited artist, whose original work is identified by its vibrant color combinations, geometrical shapes and 3D qualities. His 3D creations are the result of his fascination with corrugated cardboard's texture and ridges, which he started experimenting with different color application techniques and formatting methods. He is inspired by the universe, and human relationships.
The current exhibition consists of 19 original 3D mixed media artworks, of small to large size, exclusively presented at our gallery.
Sanjay Dhawan’s work and message has never been more contemporary and current as of now.
‘Infinite Alchemy’ is an invitation for us to take one step back and see the bigger picture. As we experience the visual end result of Sanjay’s meticulous, colorful and geometrical compositions, of thousands pieces placed together, we are reminded that even though we assume our impact as one person small, we are also part of something bigger. As each of his colorful cardboard pieces comes together to realize each other in a bigger unit, the same happens with humanity, where everyone comes together as one to overcome world challenges.

Dhawan’s work is driven by his personal quest of understanding human relationships, emotions and our connection to the infinite universe. For the artist himself, the spiritual alchemy of human relationships and self-awareness, is a continuous process of evolution and understanding, which helps to free oneself from his/hers fears, and limiting beliefs.
The artist is looking to inspire people to explore their own connection with the universe and understand their purpose in life.
Sanjay’s work probes us to see the bigger picture of our own life’s experiences. Viewing our personal stories from a distance, it helps us see the bigger narrative in place, that reveals our souls journey and accomplishments.

His carefully designed and assembled art pieces, are a reflection of his dedication to create compelling works of art that will evoke feelings of joy and serenity. The creation of smaller parts of carefully painted cardboard pieces, are assembled in a bigger composition, creating something harmonious to the eyes and peaceful to the soul, while showing us the importance each one of the smaller parts play in the greater picture.
“My personal journey to find answers and an understanding of the human relationships and existence, became the inspirational fuel of my art creations. By bringing my attention to the smaller parts of a composition, my goal is to underline the importance of how bigger pictures are made and how everything end up interacting as I bring them together. My 3D artworks remind me of our role as individuals in the bigger picture of the universal plane and how we affect our communities, countries, planet, and universe with our singular existence. “
