Ria Alexandrou in Donkey Art Prize 3 @ Dubai

Ria Alexandrou's mixed media painting, NO.SP.NO.TM, will be exhibited at Gallery 76, inside the Dubai International Art Center, along with the other winners and finalists of the Donkey Art Prize 2015.


The exhibition will take place from October 31st to November 7th, 2015, in Dubai, U.A.E.

 

The Showcase is the last of 4 great exhibitions which have been already all around the world touching important venues in Milan, Miami and Tokyo appreciated by a crowd of 3 continents.

 

The Prize is run by Blindonkey, which is an italian cultural association and it's at the third edition, it can count already hundreds of artists across the world and exhibition in the best locations.

 

The upcoming exhibition in Dubai includes either well known and emerging artists from countries such UAE, US, Canada, UK, Italy and many others, ranging between paintings and photos, the two categories of the juried competition. The young no-profit organization is determined to keep on, discovering new talents and helping artists to their path career.

 

The Reception/Opening Event is scheduled on Saturday October 31st from 6pm to 9pm.

 

It will be open from Saturday to Wednesday from 9:00am to 9:00pm and Thursday from 9:00am to 4:00pm.

Ria's Alexandrou shortlisted piece, entitled NO.SP.NO.TM, is a contemporary representation of a Paleolithic cave drawing, which seeks to awaken and inspire our primitive instincts and visual roots. The piece is a large-scale mixed media painting,using the technique of layering and treating the cloth on both sides.
