Petros Ptochopoulos is a distinguished artist with a long successful career whose paintings have been featured in private collections, national galleries, museums and institutions throughout Russia, Ukraine, New Zealand, Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus, and beyond.
Deeply rooted in his time, he draws inspiration from Cyprus’ rich contemporary history, as well as from the ancient Greek civilization. With the use of symbols throughout his work, he communicates social and political messages on contemporary issues. His work body has a consistent universal message of peace, and unity.
Petros has immense technical ability in drawing visuals of realism to abstract, where the use of bright, bold colours defines his work.
His volume of work consists several series, such as Archaica, Lost Civilization, Occupied Land, Mother Cyprus, Sea Bed, Soul Deposit, and Third Dimension. Petros artworks now spans the globe and has received a great deal of international acclaim from National Museums, international collectors, and Institutions.
