Lives and works: Egypt
Esraa Zidan is an academically trained artist, who graduated with honors from Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University in Cairo. She is a Teacher Assistant at the Faculty of Applied Arts while studying for her PhD on women who are portrayed in art in unique usual measures. In recognition of her artistic talent and skill, Zidan was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation from the Egyptian Cultural Centre in Italy. She has participated in many local and international art exhibitions, and her works are featured in several private collections in Cairo and Dubai.
Her work is a direct reflection of her philosophy in life. She cherishes the role that women play, and wants to see every woman in her own way, and between all the rights that a woman should have she defends the right of her being happy.
